The Australian Ark Foundation is an independent, grassroots not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the global promotion of Australian fine wine and distinguished vineyards through the lens of old vines, heirloom vinestock and the ancient soils in which they are planted, centred around the original research of Andrew Caillard MW, published in The Australian Ark.

Based on science and original research, our overall mission is to promote Australian fine wine internationally through sharing our country’s unique winemaking and viticultural heritage while helping to protect and preserve these valuable resources. 

Without formal connections to any region, state or national organisation, our board, committees and volunteers, made up of leaders in the industry, will act collaboratively as a whole to uplift the international credibility of all Australian wine.
